My name is Jeff Nix and I started instructing

NRA Basic Pistol in 2010. Now I also teach

concealed carry. Some of my credentials are:

NRA Pistol, NRA Chief Range Safety Officer,

USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense

Fundamentals and USCCA Training Counselor.

I learned right away that training aids are the

difference between a decent class and a

great class.

Students love training aids. It gets them

involved in the training. The first training aid I

made were the pistol sights. I cut them out of

some scrap wallet lining leather that I had.

The first time I used them in a live classroom

I couldn’t believe how well the students liked

them.

I then started to give some to all of my fellow

instructors. They kept asking for more of the

sights. I couldn’t for there was limited

amount of materials to make them. In 2021 I

started playing with a 3d printer and I

perfected the process to make them. This

enables me to sell these, at a reasonable

price, for my fellow instructors. All 3D
